Last month, I traveled up North this to document Taylor + Jordan tie the knot! They were married at the gorgeous Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, IN. As they prepared to walk down the aisle there was such a calm and peaceful energy in the air. No stress, no last minute jitters. Taylor and Jordan just knew they were the best fit for each other. The weather may have been super chilly but the fall color and love surrounding them was in full swing! From the prettiest wine colored bridesmaids dresses to the engraved wooden watch- these two put so many thoughtful details into their day. Congratulations you two!
I’m so excited to finally share Alexandra + Brock’s wedding from October! They met and went to school at Ball State and after graduation moved to Georgia where Brock is in the military. They gathered back in their old stomping grounds of Muncie to celebrate marriage with their favorite people. Alex has been collecting vintage cameras for YEARS and loved spending time curating their adventure themed ceremony and reception decor. I love when a couple places so many personal touches throughout their day. They even saved handwritten letters to one another to use during my detail shots. How cute are they?! It was so wonderful to finally meet you after chatting for what felt like ages about this day. Your day was just the most wonderful. Congratulations and thank you for having me!
Last month I found myself in Narnia (okay Michigan) to document Mackenzie + Justin tie the knot! From the moment we arrived it basically felt like we were photographing in a fairytale. From light streaming through the tallest evergreen trees to the most relaxed wedding couple ever- it was truly beautiful. This photographer was geeking out all day long! They were married in an intimate ceremony nestled between trees and moss (affectionately called ’the spot’) and had a lakeside reception with live music as the sun went down. Thank you so much for inviting us into your celebrations! Congratulations you two!
Last week, I had one of the prettiest bridal sessions and I’m all kinds of excited (aka drooling)! Typically a bridal shoot happens before your wedding as a fun way to test out your full look and have some extra time for feeling extra gorgeous in front of the camera. Wedding timelines tend to move quickly and there isn’t usually a chance for lots of focused time on bridal portraits. So when my couples opt for a little extra shoot I’m always pumped! Due to scheduling, Elana and Juan decided to have their session after the wedding and it was so wonderful. Plus, I got to hang out with one of my favorite couples again so no complaints here! 😉 We met up at the Lilly House and pretty much felt like we were running around in an issue of French Vouge! Elana was sporting sandals (vs her high pumps from her wedding) and new hair style that were just stunning. Here’s to fall evenings, running around in dresses and exploring with great people.
Earlier this month, I traveled up North to photograph Eden + Sam tie the knot with their loved ones! I don’t think it could have been a lovelier day (70 and sunny) with kinder people. They were married at the Brick venue up in South Bend surrounded by urban textures, string lights and greenery. I may have been geeking out with how stunning every little detail was! 😉 Their bridal party was absolutely hilarious and I loved getting to know them throughout the day! I’m pretty sure Eden and Sam are one of the sweetest and genuinely kind couples I’ve ever worked with. Thank you so much for letting me document this day for you. Congratulations!
Oh gosh, I’m pretty sure I had one of the cutest couples on the planet in front of my camera earlier this month! Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Portillo! Their ceremony took place at First Baptist church nestled in downtown Muncie. I must say, it’s one of the most beautiful churches in the area. Their day was filled with shades of navy, blush and classic details. Their ceremony had high ceilings, whimsical light fixtures and windows along each row filled with the people who love them. During their couples portraits we got to explore the adorable Old West End neighborhoods and created some of the most beautiful images. Emily and Chris has such a lighthearted and sweet love for one another and it was an honor to capture their wedding! I’m so overjoyed for you two!
