Last week, I traveled up to Chain O’ Lakes State Park to explore with these two cuties! We ventured through marsh lands, slopes in the forest and through the most beautiful field of wildflowers at sunset. It was the most stunning evening! This session was really fun in particular because we were able to split our time into a partial senior session for Alyssa and also a couples session in celebration of her and Randy’s three year dating anniversary! What a sweet time and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it!
Gosh, exploring does the heart well. A few weeks ago I took to the neighborhoods of Muncie with two sweet friends to be refreshed and do a personal shoot just for me. I started in portraiture and will forever love it! Weddings take up quite a bit of time so I’m not able to do them as much as I would like but it makes me cherish shoots like this that much more. If you adore cute homes like I do, summer evenings and florals I hope you’ll love this shoot. Casie, you’re just lovely!
I had a grand time getting lost in Indy + being rained on in cute historic neighborhoods with this one over the weekend. It has been way too long since I’ve been out on a session to just be creative and shoot for myself! Doing personal work is such an important part of staying inspired and not getting burned out. This shoot was exactly what my heart needed. I actually began my photography career shooting fashion inspired portraiture because I’m the oldest of FOUR sisters. You could say I had quite a few models to practice on 😉 Over time I have transitioned into doing weddings for a majority of my work but never want to give up this part of my craft. I can’t tell you how good it felt to get back to my roots a bit! I definitely need to start working on portraits a bit more.
Thanks Keeton for being an incredible model + road trip buddy! What’s better than a 50 degree Indiana day, a sweet (and SO beautiful) soul and little exploring? Not much!
I got to spend some time exploring and doing my thing with Haley last week. It has been WAY too long since this beauty has been in front of my camera. She’s one of my original models and the person I’ve taken more pictures of than anyone else. I love her to pieces! Plus, her gorgeousness is just insane. We channeled our inner Pacific North West + boho vibe for this golden hour session. Enjoy!
You know those people who you just click with the second you meet them? Maddie is one of those sweet souls whom you can’t help but adore within 60 seconds of talking with her! I can’t even begin to describe how much trouble I had editing this session because I loved ALL of them! I kept hopping from color to monochrome and back to color…it was so difficult! I had way too much fun hanging out with this lovely lady and just capturing her as she is: beautiful.
What better way to ring in spring then a shoot with one of my favorite photographers/ models?! Arianna and I have no trouble finding places to explore and just spending an evening giggling in front of the camera. We met a couple of years ago via Instagram and we’ve had a fast growing friendship ever since. She just might be one of the most adorable + absolutely stunning people I’ve ever met and I adore whenever we get the chance to work together.
We made our way out the to Cardinal Greenway in downtown Muncie to find some texture in the older buildings. Little did we know, there was a Pacific Northwest inspired log pile waiting for us as well! 😉
