When you’ve been apart for 6 months and nothing is sweeter than being together. *Cue my tears*. I’ve known these two since Brynn was an itty bitty college student and now an engagement session, wedding and season of military training later here are are again. These two are getting ready to move to Florida where Logan is being stationed but I’m so glad we were able to shoot together before they left! I’m sure one day well shoot on the beach together! 😉 For their first outfit Brynn had the idea of slipping back into their wedding attire and I couldn’t have been more excited! We played in the Garfield Park gardens and finished around sunset in Lockerbie Historic District. These two are one of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Love you guys!
I’m a huge believer in marriage. Pinterest boards, pretty dresses and all of the little details that going into wedding planning are incredibly exciting but nothing compares to the relationship you’re celebrating. The why. Strong relationships are built to be sturdy in the small moment and choosing to love one another daily through the mundane. I feel so honored that incredible people choose to invite me into some of their happiest and utterly emotional moments. However, sometimes I even get to continue past the alter. Joining alongside couples with their big milestones are so precious to me. I’ve gotten to photograph photograph KayAnn + Ethan for their engagement, wedding and now two year wedding anniversary and I couldn’t be happier! These two have the most joyful, tender and giggly love for one another. Thanks for exploring with me last night you guys!
Last week, I traveled up to Chain O’ Lakes State Park to explore with these two cuties! We ventured through marsh lands, slopes in the forest and through the most beautiful field of wildflowers at sunset. It was the most stunning evening! This session was really fun in particular because we were able to split our time into a partial senior session for Alyssa and also a couples session in celebration of her and Randy’s three year dating anniversary! What a sweet time and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it!
Last week Britt and Gershom met me in Muncie and we danced around an old ballroom, played with smoke in a can and basically created one of my favorite shoots to date together. We were unintentionally inspired by the movie Dirty Dancing and I’m quite okay with it. These two just have such a joyful love for one another and were so refreshing to photograph! In the midst of a busy season I’m working to make sure that I have shoots just for me. To be energized and creative without pressure. It’s a balance when your passion is also your job. But its a balance I feel fortune to make! This shoot had my photographers heart about to explode. I was for sure geeking out over these two and this setting! 😉 And also, are they not the most beautiful couple?! I just can’t get over it. I love when people are able to just let go and have fun with each other in front of the camera. Thanks for being incredible people!
I’m such a sucker for summer evenings and lakeside loving. This is my absolute favorite time of year. I had the best time with Cortney and Mitch for their engagement session last week! We met up at the environmental center behind Homestead High School to use the forest and lake as a backdrop. This session was especially fun for me because I grew up running in those woods as a kid! Surprisingly, I’ve never really had the chance to shoot a professional session there before so I was extra excited. We explored around swamps, long grasses (and might have gotten a little to close to a snake) and the dock on the lake. The light hearted chemistry between these two was just so obvious. These two are just precious together.
I can’t wait for their wedding this September!
Last week, I traveled down to Carmel to explore with these two cuties for their engagement session! I must say, Emily and Chris interact in such a sweet way with one another and I loved documenting it. We explored Cool Creek Park and found long grasses, a cute green bridge and finished our session wading in the creek! These two were also absolute troops with all of the mosquitoes. It’s that time of year again! 😉
I can’t wait for their September wedding!
